[THE PROBLEM]

In development, a film is still just words on a page.

Financiers, co-producers and sales agents have to imagine it. Producers have to budget it without knowing how the hardest scenes will be shot.

One process. Two results.

A

Sell it.

Teaser, trailer and key frames to bring to pitches, markets and meetings with co-producers, funds and sales agents.

B

Shoot it.

A scene-by-scene study of how to make the film: what to shoot for real, what with VFX, generative AI, a hybrid of live action and AI, or virtual production. Tested on the hardest scenes, with costs.

[SERVICES]

Pencil storyboard panel: a gunslinger's eyes under a hat brim

[01]

Animated Storyboards.

Your key sequences as moving boards: rhythm, framing and tone, before a single shooting day.

Two gangsters lit by a glowing briefcase

[02]

Proof of Concept.

A teaser or trailer of a film that does not exist yet. Built from the script, made to be shown.

An armored walker stomping in the desert

[03]

Production Study.

Every scene broken down, the hardest ones tested, and the right technique for each: VFX, generative AI, hybrid or virtual production.

[THE PATH]

  1. [01]

    Script.

We break the screenplay down scene by scene, starting from the most critical ones.

  2. [02]

    Storyboard.

Key scenes become boards, then animated storyboards with rhythm and camera.

  3. [03]

    Proof of Concept.

The boards turn into film: teaser, trailer and key frames for the pitch.

  4. [04]

    Pitch Pack.

Key art, a visual pitch deck and a teaser ready for co-production markets, festivals and funders.

  5. [05]

    Look & Casting Tests.

Characters, costumes, make-up and locations tested on screen before casting and scouting, so the look of the film is set early.

  6. [06]

    Funding and Incentives.

We advise on public funds, tax credits and international cash rebates. Through our network of partners we can work in any country, with costs and budget under control.

  7. [07]

Production Plan, On Set and in Post.

We test the hardest scenes, choose the right technique and estimate the costs, so you know where to cut before you spend. Gargoyle then takes the plan into hybrid production.

  8. [08]

    Release Campaign.

Trailers, social content and promotional materials for the release, from the same world we built in development.
